Inventory may be condition bases, service based or inventory bases.  Quantity bases work quantities are used when the exact quantity of work needed can be easily calculated.

Resources Required

MMS - Planning uses information about the availability of resource and resources needed for each Standard Work Activity to develop a resource leveled annual work plan for labour, equipment and materials.

Standard Work Activities

The tabs are used to document what the activity is, how it is done and what resources are used (labor, equipment, materials).  The cost tab provides information on the resulting unit cost of the activity.

MMS calculates a "first principles" cost, based on resources required and designated average daily production.

Funding Sources

Define a set of funding sources targeted at different classes of work, even if the work is performed by the same work team.

Develop sophisticated links among resources, activities, funding sources and cost recovery work to ensure the work is maximized within known funding constraints.

Projects

Define projects (a group of activities performed on the same assets) in addition to individual work tasks.
