Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Gerke is one of those rare individuals in the transportation industry that
has had extensive experience in the public sector at both a junior and senior level
mixed with international experience in the private sector as a senior consultant
and part owner of a consulting company.
Mr. Gerke is internationally
known for his knowledge and expertise in asset management and privatization of road
maintenance.
He has achieved a status of being an acknowledged guru of Asset Management
throughout Australia and has rapidly gained international acceptance based on the
reputation of his work for agencies in North America.
His expertise
combined with professional level communication skills enables Mr. Gerke to clearly and
imaginatively present his unique insight of roadway preservation to the transportation
sector.
Rays experience with the public sector has varied from planning and managing
works organizations, through to managing the development, piloting and implementation
of maintenance management systems, pavement management systems and contract
maintenance for road agencies.
Ray has a thorough understanding of the dynamics of implementing new technology and change
management processes in large road organizations.
He is a founding partner and currently a half owner of
VEMAX Management Incorporated, a Canadian based engineering management consultancy that
operates throughout Canada, United States and Australia.
Ray has a proven track record in working effectively with
the most senior level of management through to road workers, including such diverse groups
as information technologists, maintenance engineers, foreman and superintendents, planners
and program managers and executive level steering committees.
