Senior Consultant (Asset Management)
Gordon Dewald has many years experience in the transportation industry with extensive
experience in the public sector at various levels and experience in the private
sector as a senior consultant with numerous Canadian and International agencies.
Gordon is a recognized expert in asset management and maintenance management
systems. He has worked closely with staff from numerous road agencies to develop
condition and evaluation procedures to support the implementation of these systems.
Gordon’s career has given him the opportunity to be involved with private
industry, local government and provincial government agencies as well as regulatory
bodies. This involvement has been at all levels of management with these organizations.
Gordon has a proven track record in working effectively with all levels of large
organizations from road workers to senior managers. Practical experience in all aspects of
managing large construction and maintenance programs enable him to relate positively to
these individuals.
Gordon’s enthusiasm and ability enable him to lead groups of a diverse membership
cross section. Gordon has lead numerous groups with membership comprised of road workers,
middle and senior managers. Tasks have ranged from development of high level business
processes such as budget preparation to detailed procedures such as determining the best
way to measure cracks.
Gordon has been involved with a number of innovative projects including
piloting a GPS snowplow tracking system to developing and managing a large Maintenance
Contract Management System. Current projects include a user configurable inventory
program, user configurable graphical database viewer and surface condition data entry
program.
